Mojama Beach Chiclana

2 Jan 2025

Ainsssss, I can’t wait for the heat to arrive!!!, for the smell of sun and sea, to walk barefoot on the sand of La Barrosa, my little beach. Like Melendi’s song… let her dance with flowing skirts. Well, that’s what I’m looking forward to, to letting my hair down, in my Chiclana, on its great beach and when I get the urge to eat, to go to Mojama, one of my favourite spots.

Mojama is one of those beach bars that you can’t miss, it has everything and it’s so close to Manuela Sea Villa. So, you get up for breakfast and you’re already swimming on the beach, but you’ll have to reserve a place to eat at Mojama first.

There are plenty of beach bars to choose from here, but I’m going with this one for several reasons. I associate it with “good vibes”, with informality, but without being tacky, because being on the beach and on holiday doesn’t mean lacking glamour. Well, you put on something cute and you feel like a Goddess of Olympus with your cool green wine looking at the sea and listening to music, which is often live and with which you can say goodbye to the day watching an amazing sunset.

What’s special about it is that it’s between dunes and you get a bit of that feeling of land and sea, of sea and mountain, not that plain that you can see from other beach bars, without disregarding it, because miles of beach is what we have here… beach, beach and more beach.

The food is delicious and every summer you find new surprises on the menu and they are sure to be very good because just being in that environment makes you enjoy fried fish, shrimp burgers, chicken tears or slow-roasted pork belly, their salads or tuna dishes… that is, whatever they put in front of you because it whets your appetite.

If you stay for dinner it is ideal but take something for the mosquitoes because the heat and humidity here also have some inconveniences… peccata minuta.

As I said, people, enjoy everything we have. I encourage you to come here and you will see that I have not exaggerated at all, you will love it, I am already looking forward to them unfurling their sails so I can order a mojito first.

It is located on Playa de la Barrosa next to the Red Cross first aid post. In the middle of the summer season, don’t forget to book 600 700 943 and www.mojamabeach.com
