Are you looking for a different restaurant? Located in an exceptional place? Right on the beach of El Palmar? Well, we found it, “La Torre Restaurant”, next to the well-known Torre de El Palmar, right on the beach. It is an ideal place to enjoy an extensive menu of dishes overlooking the sea and exceptional cocktails.
I had heard a lot about this restaurant, and they insisted that I would not be disappointed, and so it has been. A highly recommended restaurant, for its excellent location, its good menu with local products and the friendliness and good work of its team of waiters and waitresses.
When you enter La Torre, you don’t know if you are entering a surf school or a restaurant. In its main room there are some swings that serve as seats for the meal, a little uncomfortable when you have been at the table for two hours, but very original.
Its terrace has direct views of the beach and the dunes so characteristic of the El Palmar area. At weekends, it is very common for groups of surfers and their companions to meet on the terrace and turn the area into a small concert hall.
As for food, we recommend some starters such as the tower of aubergines, tomatoes, courgettes and mozzarella with pesto, tomatoes from the Palmareña garden, scrambled cuttlefish and Vejer blood sausage, and courgette turban with anchovies.
They have a wide range of tuna dishes from the almadraba, we recommend the grilled wild red tuna belly and the tuna pate from the almadraba.
Their rice dishes are especially elaborate, such as black rice with squid, cuttlefish, clams and aioli, or rice with prawns. And don’t forget to try the grilled sea bass taco and the grilled retinto beef sirloin, all exceptional products from the area.
For those with a sweet tooth, the restaurant has four elaborate desserts, but we recommend the chocolate micuit with passion fruit. And finally, don’t forget their cocktails, especially the “Mojito La Torre”, we’ll tell you about its ingredients so you can come and try it.
